This is typically done by applying 20% or more material to the end product. However, at a high cost per pound, this could cost manufacturing operations well over six figures—annually. Lumetrics’ OptiGauge II, a low-coherence interferometer, addresses this high-cost manufacturing issue with its capabilities in highly accurate multi-layer thickness measurements of transparent and translucent materials.
