Large Optic Scanning System

Lumetrics designed a custom optical scanning system for a customer that had a need to measure the thickness of glass during the polishing process. The need was for the glass to be totally flat, with consistent measurements throughout the entire piece. Lumetrics invented and designed a large optic scanning system that would measure the glass during the polishing process, and was integrated into their production line at the point where the glass is polished. This customer was able to produce a more consistent piece of glass, while reducing the time it took to measure the product and reducing measurement variability.
